Dette solgte over 100 000 eksemplarer, et særdeles godt salgstall i Norge.Høsten 1979 utkom oppfølgeren Salmer og sanger vi gjerne hiver. Også dette albumet solgte svært godt.I 1980 kom det fjerde albumet ut, Best of Ebba, og gruppa turnerte over hele landet det samme året. Samtidig hadde gruppa planer om å gi ut en video og musikal og jobbet med dette prosjektet det samme året.I 1981 kom musikalen og platen Fisle Narrepanne i Tyrol ut. I musikalen var skuespillere som Ulf Wengård, Kjersti Døvigen og Ivar Nørve på scenen sammen med Prima Vera.Allerede høsten samme år kom oppfølgeren Den 5te. Platen ble trukket tilbake og ble utgitt på nytt med et endret omslag. Det opprinnelige omslaget hadde manipulert gruppa sammen med kong Olav V, dronning Elisabeth II og daværende kronprinsesse Sonja. På albumets nye omslag var gruppa avbildet stående på Karl Johans gate, i kjole og hvitt og grønne stilongs med Slottet i bakgrunnen. Videoen Prima Vera uten en rød tråd ble utgitt høsten 1981 med Øivind Blunck på noen klipp.Ha ha he he ho! (De gærne har'e godt), utgitt med Jahn Teigen som produsent i 1982, kom med en ny video, «De gærne har'e godt».Helt siden 1978 hadde gruppa snakket om å lage en film om Olav den hellige. Filmen Prima Veras saga om Olav den hellige ble lansert i september 1983, men ble fullstendig slaktet av kritikerne. Filmen hadde altfor stor likhet med Monty Pythons film Monty Python og ridderne av det runde bord, uten å være tilsvarende genial.Etter nedturen med filmen valgte gruppa å ta en pause. Ved en tilfeldighet dukket det opp en mulighet til å opptre en uke på Cabaret Restaurant i Stockholm høsten 1984. Denne opptredenen endte i katastrofe. Etter at publikum sviktet stilte Teigen med Anita Skorgan på scenen, og Prima Vera skilte lag. Teigen ble soloartist mens Tom Mathisen og Herodes Falsk fortsatte som duo. Duoen hadde suksess med nye parodier og stadig mer støyende humor under navn som Viggo & Reidar og Tom Mathisen & Herodes Falsk.I 1994 kom samleplaten Absolute Prima Vera ut, men på pressekonferansen...

The boxed set also includes a poster and 24-page booklet.Originally released on 15 June 1993, ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ was a commercial and critical success. The precocious and prodigious drummer and composer Tony Williams had already joined the Miles Davis Quintet and participated in numerous landmark Blue Note recordings including Herbie Hancock Empyrean Isles, Eric Dolphy Out To Lunch, Andrew Hill Point Of Departure, Jackie McLean One Step Beyond, and Grachan Moncur III Evolution by the time he recorded his own adventurous debut album Life Time in August 1964, when he was still just 18 years old. Williams had no intention of playing it safe on his maiden voyage as a leader and set forth to document his uncompromising expression on this program of innovative original compositions. Side 1 presents the expansive two movement suite “2 Pieces of One” with the drummer joined by tenor saxophonist Sam Rivers and bassists Gary Peacock and Richard Davis. Side 2 opens with the jaunty “Tomorrow Afternoon” featuring Williams, Rivers, and Peacock. Williams plays a variety of percussion on the freely improvised “Memory” which features Herbie Hancock on piano and Bobby Hutcherson on vibraphone, and lays out entirely on the ruminative piano-bass duet “Barb’s Song to the Wizard” performed by Hancock and Ron Carter which closes the album.This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray (Cohearent Audio) from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at Record Technology Inc. 3 Feet High and Rising is the debut studio album by hip-hop trio De La Soul, and was released on March 3, 1989. It marked the first of three full-length collaborations with producer Prince Paul, which would become the critical and commercial peak of both parties. It contains the singles, “Me Myself and I”, “The Magic Number,” “Buddy,” and “Eye Know”. The album title came from the Johnny Cash song “Five Feet High and Rising”. It is listed on both Rolling Stone’s 200 Essential Rock Records and The Source’s 100 Best Rap Albums. When Village Voice held its annual Pazz & Jop Critics Poll for 1989, 3 Feet High and Rising was ranked #1. It was also listed on Rolling Stone’s The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.Released amid the 1989 boom in gangsta rap, which gravitated towards hardcore, confrontational, violent lyrics, De La Soul's uniquely positive style made them an oddity beginning with the first single, “Me, Myself and I.” Their positivity meant many observers labeled them a “hippie” group, based on their declaration of the “D.A.I.S.Y. Recorded in May 1963, Silver’s Serenade was the last in a fantastic run of albums that pianist Horace Silver would make with the most celebrated line-up of his Quintet featuring Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Junior Cook on tenor saxophone, Gene Taylor on bass, and Roy Brooks on drums. The core of the band had been together since 1959 and recorded hard bop classics like Finger Poppin’ and Blowin’ the Blues Away, with Brooks joining in 1960 on Horace-Scope. It may be tempting to reduce Convocations into a longform ambient anomaly within Sufjan Stevens' vast catalogue. It is, however, neither an anomaly nor entirely ambient. This is not a side project. From his numerous dance scores for New York City Ballet to instrumental albums such as Enjoy Your Rabbit, Aporia, and The BQE, Stevens spends at least half his working life making largely instrumental music, as he has for decades. And though the first ten pieces, dubbed "Meditations," unfurl as gorgeous states of reflective new-age grace, this is by no means an ambient enterprise. Stevens invokes the lessons of Morton Subotnick, Maryanne Amacher, Christian Fennesz, Brian Eno, and Wolfgang Voigt here. As musically erudite as it is emotionally experienced, Convocations can be dissonant, vertiginous, rhythmic, repetitive, urgent, or calm-that is, all the things we undergo when we inevitably live through loss, isolation, and anxiety.Indeed, Convocations moves like a two-and-a-half-hour requiem mass for our present times of difficulty, it's 49 tracks allowing for all these feelings to be felt. The album is divided into five sonic cycles, each replicating a different stage of mourning. "Meditations" work toward acceptance and resolution, of coming to terms with the day's news even if it stings. The subsequent "Lamentations" slink, sputter, and sometimes grind, as sadness transmutes to anger and back again. The rhythmic drift and glitchy strata of "Revelations" allow for confusion and catharsis, of asking just why the world or the heavens have wronged us. With it's bright tones, occasional sweeps of strings, and scrambled voices, "Celebrations" offers furtive bits of fondness, though the nostalgia is never far removed from the news that prompted it. The final nine "Incantations" are lessons for those of us who remain, gorgeous and galvanizing reminders that our time here is as limited as the possibilities for how we spend it are infinite. Convocations occasionally soothes and sometimes hurts; when it's done, you're left with a renewed sense of wonder for being here at all. In fact, Stevens made Convocations in response to (and as an homage to) the life and death of his father, who died in September last year, two days following the release of The Ascension. It is, then, ultimately an album about loss, and an album that reflects a year in which we have all lost so much. One could easily compare this project to Stevens' album Carrie & Lowell, which he wrote following his mother's death. But this is something entirely different. A new time, a new season, a new life lost, a new reckoning, a new kind of isolation, grief, despair, frustration, confusion, and the search for happiness and hope for the future. This is not a personal record, but a universal one. Miami-born trumpeter Blue Mitchell had a soulful, swinging style that was equally at home in jazz, R&B,; and funk settings. Mitchell been a sideman on Blue Note sessions led by Lou Donaldson, Jimmy Smith, Jackie McLean and appeared on numerous classics as a member of the Horace Silver Quintet before he began recording his own Blue Note leader albums. For his 1965 date Down With It! the trumpeter reconvened the same dynamic quintet that had recorded his label debut The Thing To Do the year before including his Silver bandmates Junior Cook on tenor saxophone and Gene Taylor on bass along with a 24-year-old Chick Corea on piano and 22-year-old Al Foster on drums.
